Zoe Westwood

Zoe Westwood

Member of BAHA committee

With parents in the hotel trade it was obviously going to be a source of employment for me. I started in housekeeping when I was 16 at the Royal Bath Hotel and when I was made redundant in August, the Marsham Court soon snapped me up as they were very busy, I worked in housekeeping until I was 18 through the school holidays and then worked my way into other departments including restaurant, reception and bar. I then moved to London to go to University, however Uni was not for me and I found work at Jongleurs Comedy Clubs. After working as box office manager and kitchen Manager, I then found myself moving back to Bournemouth.I ran the 20 bed roomed Bonnington Hotel for two years until my sister Rosie came back from America, we then bought the Pavilion Hotel and ran it for two years together until we decided that the Pavilion needed so much work to it that it would be best to start again, this led us to demolish the hotel and rebuild a brand new purpose built hotel which we franchised with Wyndham Hotel Group and called it Ramada Encore Bournemouth. Nearly six years later I am still running the Encore with my husband Brendan. Ramada Encore Hotel
