Over 16,000 people will be coming to the Bournemouth International Centre for the UK’s National Cheer leading competition which is being held in the town on 6 & 7 July 2013

Returning to the BIC for the fourth year running, this national cheer leading competitive event organised by Future Cheer, attracts thousands of competitors with their supporters to celebrate the very best in cheer leading talent. Competitors will also be competing with a view to being selected by world class judges who fly over especially for this event. If selected, the competitors will represent the UK in the United States All Star Federation (USASF) Worlds Cheer leading Championships in Orlando, Florida in April 2014.

Steve Piper, BH Live Director of Venues said; “During this event, the BIC and the town is bursting with energy from the thousands of competitors, supporting friends and family. Over 16,000 people are expected to come to the BIC over the weekend which contributes an estimated £5 million of economic benefit into the local economy.

Future Cheer is looking forward to returning to the town and directors Ian and Tessa Crow said ”This is the largest cheer leading competitive event outside the states and competitors come from all over the UK, Europe and America.Bournemouth always attracts the highest number of competitors and is a highlight in the cheer leading calendar. For us, Bournemouth is the UK’s top resort with a range of accommodation and attractions. One thing everyone enjoys in particular is the location of the Bournemouth International Centre, the close proximity to the seafront and amenities. It makes it a fun event with lots to do for the whole family and that’s why we love coming back each year.”
