Vote for Bournemouth’s Parks

BOURNEMOUTH’S parks department is urging people to nominate the town’s green spaces for a major award.

The borough is urging people to vote for one of its 13 Green Flag award-winning parks in the organisers’ People’s Choice Award.

The annual vote decides which of 1,400 parks and green spaces across the country should be named site of the year.

The eligible cites in Bournemouth are: Lower, Central and Upper Gardens; Boscombe Chine Gardens; Pelhams Park; Redhill Park and Common; Moore Avenue Park; Seafield Gardens; Fisherman’s Walk; Winton Recreation Ground; Alum Chine and Argyll Gardens; Stour Valley Nature Reserve; Kinson Common Nature Reserve; Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve; and Springbourne Gardens.

The last two of those sites were initially not available to vote for on the website but the omission was due to be fixed.

Supporters can vote at until midnight on Sunday October 14.
